When the days get shorter and colder and darker, it's easy for me to fall into a mundane routine and forget to step outside of my "comfort zone" entrapment, and sometimes out of my apartment for more than just the usual errands and outings.
In this season of shedding, when the earth is bursting with color and trees are releasing their leaves, I've decided that I would also shed what is no longer needed in my life. I'm decluttering my apartment, getting rid of extras and hoarded things that no longer serve a purpose and organizing and decluttering my files, both digital and paper. In the spirit of letting go of the old to make space for the new, I'll also be starting a gratitude journal to keep my spirits high during the cold winter months.
I've been using Sammy B. Love's 30 Day Self-Love Challenge journal prompts for about two months now - I started way back in September, but I'm quite inconsistent (oops) - and it has been quite helpful in realizing where I still need to grow and not be so hard on myself.
